Brigitte Zulauf

As a highly experienced leader, I have more than 30 years of experience in the fiduciary sector and especially in HR / Payroll: Consulting, projects of various kinds, training, workshops, implementation and outsourcing.

Since July 2021 I offer various  services with my own company around HR / Payroll, I also lecture at various educational institutes and offer seminars myself. Please feel free to browse my website or contact me - then we will find the optimal cooperation

My professional career

I have led the fiduciary services area as partner in charge at PwC Switzerland until June 2021, since July 2021 I have taken early retirement.

My team consisted of over 100 specialists from the areas of accounting, HR / payroll and ERP implementation.

I acquired the broad professional experience required to lead this interdisciplinary team through a wide variety of client projects on the job combined with further training and participation in specialist committees.

After graduating from business school, I acquired a teaching certificate and very soon focused on training adults on the first PC software applications. With the goal of combining IT with accounting and payroll topics, I started my career at PwC and soon expanded the ERP implementation area there. I was particularly fascinated by complex payroll solutions. After completing my training as a fiduciary with a federal certificate, I was able to advise clients even better by combining specialist knowledge with IT know-how. Even after taking over the overall responsibility of the fiduciary sub service line, I deepened the payroll accounting know-how and focused in particular on complex issues in the international area.

I always studied current topics and successfully implemented them in a comprehensive range of seminars within the PwC Academy and as a speaker at various training institutes. At the ZHAW Zurich School of Management and Law, I was able to fulfill a long-held desire to contribute to the professionalization of payroll accounting by covering the area of payroll accounting as a lecturer in the CAS Payroll Expert.

In addition to many continuing education seminars lasting several days in the areas of IT, accounting, social security, taxes, etc., I completed the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) ZFH (Zurich University of Applied Sciences) in Human Capital Management. In the master thesis I dealt with employer risks in payroll accounting with a focus on flexible employment relationships. With the Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Compliance in Human Resources I comprehensively rounded off this topic.

Various multi-day training courses in leadership, including at IMD (Strategic Leadership for Women and Leading a Business Unit) and the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Leadership Excellence IAP, shaped my style as a supervisor and coach.

Digitalisation topics combined with several days of training to become a company data protection officer shaped the last few years.

Today, I am self-employed, stay on the top of the different areas professionally and share my broad wealth of experience.

In my consulting work I cover the languages German and English and partly also French orally and in writing. I can understand documents and easy conversations in Spanish and Italian.
